About the Postcard Project

We as a Third Grade class in Foxborough, MA have decided to participate in a Postcard Project as part of our Geography class. Our goal is to gather postcards from each of the 50 states as well as the seven continents of the world. We would love to see how many countries we can receive postcards from. When we receive your postcard we will sort it into a pile depending on its location. Once we have sorted them we will find your location on our class map. We would appreciate it if you could tell us a little bit about your location. We will use this information to compare different locations around the world. We would like to chart and graph postcards that have traveled through the mail. We would be interested in seeing the different stamps from around the world. If you know of other relatives or friends that can help us reach our goal please pass this letter along to them. If you are from another country, could you please let us know how you say hello? We would like to see how close we can get to our goal by the end of the year. We end school on June 23, 2012.
With your help, we know we can accomplish our goals.
  • To receive a postcard mailed from EVERY one of the fifty states in America.
  • To receive a postcard mailed from EVERY continent of the world.
